AZ Progressive Businesses was created to spotlight and support the local businesses in Arizona that are doing more than just turning a profit, they’re building community.

This project is led by Samantha DeSoto, Alison Porter, and other community members. Samantha owns a digital marketing company that advocates for ethical business practices, and Alison Porter is a community builder and passionate supporter of public education and other progressive causes.
Together with help from fellow Arizonans who care deeply about equity, inclusion, and local resilience, we’re curating this directory as a resource for conscious consumers and a platform for values-driven businesses. We’re not a corporation or backed by big money. We’re people, just like you, who want to make it easier to find and support businesses that reflect the kind of world we want to live in.
